Leonie "Leonie" Hannah Sweeney

Passed away peacefully with family at her side at Marlborough Hospice on 17 April 2025, aged 82 years.Much loved mother of Terry, Sharyn, Wendy & Paula. Loved Nana of Belle, Jordan, Chanel, Gene, Paora, Johnny and Justin. Dearly loved Sister, Aunty, Mother-in-law, Great Grandmother, cousin, friend and extended family. Special thanks to the staff at Wairau Hospital and Marlborough Hospice and to all the Doctors and nurses who looked after our Mum. A Celebration of Mum’s life will be held at Sowmans Mayfield Chapel, cnr Hutchenson & Parker Sts at 1pm, on Tuesday, 22 April 2025, followed by cremation at the Sowman Crematorium.
