Colin Patrick McManaway

Passed away at Wairau Hospital on Sunday March 31, 2024. Aged 88 years. Loved husband of the late Marjorie, loved stepfather of Marlene and Andrew, Norman, Lorraine and John. Loved son of the late Lynda and OJ McManaway. Thank you Colin for giving us Nana Lynda. Loved grandfather of Tracy and Matt, Andrea and Nathan, and very special great grandfather. Taxi to Katya and partner Isaac, and Taxi poppy of Lachlan. Brother to Denis, the late Rex and Keith, and Cobler. At last he has gone to join his darling Marj, at peace and out of pain. Thanks to George for the many outings. A service for Colin will be held at the Mayfield Chapel, cnr Hutcheson and Parker Streets, Blenheim at 11am on Thursday April 4.

Marlene, Norman, Lorraine and their families would like to thank you very much for the cards, flowers, and kind messages received following the death of Colin. In particular, we would like to acknowledge the care and support Colin received from Maxwell Lifecare. To the doctors and nurses at Wairau Hospital who cared for Colin, thank you; we are grateful for your support. To his taxi family, his sailing and his friends at the Crow Tavern, thank you for the many ways you helped make the last years of Colin’s life some of his best. We would also like to thank Sowman’s for their guidance and in helping bring everything together. He would have loved his wee send off and we certainly appreciated your support during this sad time.
