WELCH, Allan Henry,

Retired RNZAF, passed away peacefully on 10th February 2026, at Aberleigh Village in Blenheim.

Loving husband of Cheralyn (deceased) and brother of Dr Roger T Welch of the Gold Coast.

A huge thanks to the caring and considerate staff at Wairau and Nelson Hospitals, Hospice Marlborough, Access and Aberleigh Retirement Village.

At Al’s request a private cremation and memorial service has been held.

Al was married to my Aunty Cheralyn. I’m her niece and currently live in Queensland Australia.

I’ll always remember uncle Al, quietly showing his love. I made sure to bring the kids by on Halloween and Christmas even after aunty cheralyn passed away. Even though he never said much, his kindness and care always came through his actions to us kids and our kids. I’ll miss seeing him around town in his ute or on his motorcycle. I hope he’s at peace now, resting beside Aunty, and that his quiet love is remembered warmly by all of us.
