STACEY, Stanley Errol – “Errol”:
28 February 1934~11 August 2026.

Passed away at home.

Respected brother, step-brother, and uncle.

His sisters Aileen, Lynette, Kaye, and fond niece Carey will always remember him.

Highly regarded motor rewinder all his life.

A service will be held at Sowman’s Mayfield Chapel, cnr Hutcheson and Parker Streets, at 11.00am, on Friday, August 14.

My friendship with errol goes all the way back to where we met at school errol fell of his bike and I helped him since then a firm friendship was formed and we spent many hours pig hunting and having many adventures together which I will hold dear for the rest of my life. Errol was best man at my wedding and recently attended my 90th birthday I will always consider errol as my best friend and was devastated to hear of his passing.

I feel, at 77, that I have always known Errol. He was like a member of our family for a lot of years, and my mother, Joan Andrews and Errol spent years of visiting Ngakuta Bay at weekends and made many friends down there. Often they enjoyed musical evenings, with Errol playing his Banjo or mandolin , and my Mother singing! What a very clever man he was.
His talent in his field will be truly missed in Marlborough.
