Julie will be truly missed. She was our rock at work. Always calm and loved by all who worked with her. Patients loved her. Inspirational about living each day. Don’t plan just do.

We send deepest condolences to Craig, Shaun and Angus and to Julie’s wider family and hope that you are all, in some way, sustained by special memories of her.
We’re writing this as a memory, too, and it’s on behalf of our mother, who always told us how much she liked and valued Julie when she and Shaun and Angus went to visit her in Corstorphine Road. Mum, Margaret or Aunty Marg, thought very highly of Julie’s warmth and kindness and so enjoyed her popping in with Shaun and Angus. Although we no longer lived in Dunedin, we have a strong memory of the esteem in which Mum held Julie. She never failed to tell us what a lovely person she was.
Our thoughts are with you all at this very hard and hurtful time.

Dear Craig, Angus and Sean. Thinking of you in this time of tragic loss.
The world has lost one of the brightest sparks, Julie was one of the most influential women in my life, as a nurse preceptor and outside the profession. Thank you for letting me into your home and precious family time, it has meant more than you know. I will never forget the first time I met her, on the bus to Nelson talking, laughing and Julie shaking her head (and rolling her eyes at something) I instantly felt I’d made the right decision moving to Blenheim for the first year of my career. She continued to be a source of wisdom, laughter and confidence and I hope in time that the love and joy and wit that was Julie outweighs the pain of loss.
Thinking of you all.
Tribute from Barbara Young (nee Scholten) –
To Craig, Shaun & Angus, I am very sad for your loss. I am very blessed to have had Julie touch my life in our early years growing up in Lawrence. Always a fun, kind, caring friend. My sincere condolences to you, Barbara xo
To Pam, Janette, Graeme & Brent, feel some comfort that Julie will always live on in your hearts, with all those special memories shared.
We all are richer for having known her & you guys, special family friends. Our father Peter held you all in high regard, & such “good milk delivery workers”. Sending love & sympathy, Tom, Barbara, Mary Paul & Joseph Scholten.
