Dear Fergus and family. Sincere sympathy at your loss of Barbara. I will always remember her with great fondness. She was such a gracious kind person always willing to be involved with Marlborough Colleges Old Girls Association. May you find comfort knowing that she was so well respected in our community. Remember always that memories are forever,

Tribute from Helen & Rick Loughton –
Sending love from Scotland. How very sad we were to hear that Barb had passed away. We are so very privileged to be able to call her a dear friend. Finding our Murray relations in NZ back in 1988 is one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and being able to spend time with Ferg and Barb on several occasions over the years has been truly delightful. Rick and I have such very happy, fond, memories of an amazing trip on a narrowboat in north Wales with them both. What fun we had. Barb was always such a dignified and warm human being, and we are so thankful for the time spent with her, Ferg and all the family over the years. How we wish we weren’t so far away at this sad time and although we can’t be with you to send her on her way, please know we are with you in spirit.
Rest easy Barb.
Thinking of you all with love.

Tribute from Christine Barry –
Barb was the oldest of us Patchett cousins and as such has always been in my life. She was one of my mother’s ‘s bridesmaids, along with the younger Patchett sisters, this was, of course, before my birth! But I have many happy memories of the Lybster St gatherings and Barb & Ferg, Jamie, Uncle Colin & Aunty Molly there and on the many Patchett family picnics. In the 80’s it was Robin Hood Bay camps and posh afternoon teas in that beautiful old home at Murray Downs, me and the aunties. Then a stroll of the gorgeous gardens. The last time I saw Barb’nFerg (I always think of them that way) was at Aunty Pat’s 90th in Taupo. We all watched and screamed with them in the bar of the Wairaki Hotel as Tom rowed in the Olympics. A very proud moment for them. Barb was a very special lady, and she had a long life, very well lived. My love to Ferg and the family as you grieve

My heart goes out to you Fergus and all the family.
I have so many very fond memories of you all. Barbara being my wonderful teacher at Renwick School to being a lovely host when I would come over the hill from The Delta to Murray Downs and spend time around the farm with you all. I did so enjoy those years.
Please remember the wonderful times that you did all have together.
