Valerie Lois Mapp

MAPP, Valerie Lois, “Val” (née McKenzie): Late of Pine Valley. August 7, 1950 – July 31, 2025.  Died peacefully at home with her family near.

Much loved wife of Lloyd; mother of Roland, Vanessa, and the late Hayden; Nana of Jaimee, Ben, Sarah, Lincoln, and Nelson.

Well known and respected member of the community, founder of Pine Valley Outdoor Centre, and of the Wairau Valley Garden Tour.

Messages may be sent to the Mapp family at 2486 North Bank Road, Pine Valley, North Bank 7275. Flowers may be set to Terracedale Florist, 117 Hospital Road, Witherlea, Blenheim.

A celebration of Val’s life will be held at the Church of the Nativity, 76 Alfred Street, Blenheim on Saturday August 9, at 2.00pm. At Val’s request please wear bright colours. The service will be livestreamed and details may be accessed at https://youtube.com/live/Qsbjpo7aEJg?feature=share

Val is so much in our thoughts – always so many great memories of our “Mad Mapp Adventures”
She will be missed but never forgotten – her feijoa patch growing in SW Victoria is our Val Garden (and flourishing of course!)
