Tribute from Josie Uren –
I enjoyed many conversations with Mr J as I ended up calling him- he told me to call him Bill, but I couldn’t. Very knowledgeable and interesting, he could hold a discussion on pretty much any topic. He rescued my house and EQ lifting team when they came to a sudden halt. He knew what had happened to my property when police station got built, ( not on any lim report) and his knowledge enabled them to fix the issue. A good man, a long life, and a legacy left to his 3 sons. My sincere condolences to the family.
Regards, Josie

Tribute from Michael Phillips –
Today (28th April, 2026) Bill would have been 94yo, and it is with much affection I remember this wonderful man and his wife Shirley. ‘Uncle’ Bill and Shirl figured much in my childhood with his unwavering support and friendship, particularly during some trickier personal times. His encouragement of me into the hobby of Amateur Radio ultimately spawned my professional career in science and electronics. He was a gifted mechanical and electronics repairman and inventor who was in inspiration to many.
We will all miss you Bill. Hoping there is a decent workshop in Heaven.
