EDGAR, Brian Elwyn Wayne

Passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Bethsaida Retirement Village, aged 93 years.

Loved husband of the late Marion. Cherished father of Shane and Margareta, Jock, and Bronwyn. Dearly loved grandfather of Oskar, Felix, James, and Adam, and great grandfather of Elsie.

Special thanks to all who have given so much support to Brian. “You know who you are.”

In lieu of flowers a donation to Marlborough Hospice Trust would be appreciated and may be made to a/c 06-0601-0148609-00  Ref. Edgar.

In accordance with Brian’s wishes a private cremation has been held.

So many memories of this man, from over 5 decades. Staying on the farm at Rangitata with Bronny during school days, his always gentle ribbing, sometimes more pointed than others when he knew I’d gone to the “green” side. But oh, how he loved the pick-up in my new EV! Alongside Marion, such a wonderful couple, always with a warm greeting and offers of cups of tea. I know you’ll be missed by many – you literally brought lights into people’s lives. I don’t think I speak out of turn to also mention our dear friend Sandy – who truly loved you both. My thoughts are especially with the family, but mostly with Bronny. Love you mate, and I know how much you loved for, cared for, and spent time with your dad. He was so fortunate to have you close by.
